When measuring for any kilt, you'll want to measure at your waist, just a bit above your navel. Furthermore, when measuring for one of our custom made, adjustable Utility Kilts, keep in mind there are 3 rows of adjustable snaps to give you greater flexibility than with other brands. However, for a perfect fit, always round up. If you're 32 & 1/2" around your waist, you'll need to order a 34. Our Utility Kilts tend to be a bit tighter fit than most are used to, considering a kilt is meant to trim the figure when worn correctly. When ready, order from Best in Scotland, or if you have any questions, our contact form can be located on our Contact Us page. |
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe, as usual takes a large number of participants every year and this year was no different. The funniest joke of The Fringe has, yet again, gone to Tim Vine for this hilarious one liner: "I decided to sell my Hoover...well it was just collecting dust.". He is the first person to win this award for a second time in a row.
Many other awards have been won, hundreds of free shows have been performed and 14 new fringe venues were created. All in all it's been a crazy August and it'll all happen again next year. We look forward to seeing you guys there.
To check out our kilts & menswear, head over to Best in Scotland! Unlike the Fringe, we're here all year, 7 days a week!

Best in Scotland: How to Measure for our Men's 5 Yard Casual Kilts | |
Kilts are measured differently than normal trousers. For a kilt, measure your waist just above the navel. That will give you the size you want. In the UK and US, your size in inches (32" for example) will correspond to the size you want to order. Once you're ready pop on over to Best in Scotland to choose your size. Go ahead and send us a message on our Contact Us page. |
we had a very special order. A lady phoned and asked for quite a large and unusual array of things, including 30 m sq. of Pride of Scotland Cloth. It transpired that this lady was Debbie Jenkins, the wardrobe mistress for the NTBS (National Theater Ballet School) in Melbourne. She needed them to be shipped from the UK to Australia in record time. They were the costumes and set dressings for an upcoming production of Les Sylphides. Everything, from caps and sashes to shirts and kilts.
